Facility
Sheltering Oak Farms is a welcoming facility just north of Chico, CA. SOF welcomes all breeds, disciplines, and levels of competition. We host a close knit community of passionate, involved equestrians working together to ensure the best conditions for the horses and a fun environment for riders.
One arena is an acre of all weather footing that doesn't puddle or get slick after rain. A second arena is covered and has lights for evening riding. Poles, cones, and jump standards are available to create gymnastic courses or trail challenges. There is a round pen and three other smaller square pens great for groundwork or liberty work.

The stalls are 16' x 16' with attached 16' x 24' runs. There are 4 main tie areas in the barn for grooming. Each boarder is given their own private tack locker with multiple saddle racks, bridle hooks, and an upper storage space for miscellaneous items and blankets. Boarders can use grain/supplements offered through SOF or their own which is pre-bagged by boarders and fed daily by SOF. There is a half bath for the barn which can also double as a changing room.
There are 7 large pastures which are seeded in the winter and dry out in the summer. There are also dry lots for horses with grass sensitivity who still need spacious turn out. Beyond the pastures and arena are 70 more acres of land with a year round creek and small bluffs great for trail riding and a change of scenery.
